Terms of service
These terms form the agreement between you and Billsline when you open an account, keep money with us, pay bills or buy and sell on the marketplace. Please read them before using the app.
1. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate identity information. You are responsible for keeping your password and transaction PIN secret, and for every action taken on your device while you are signed in. Tell us immediately if you suspect someone else has access to your account.
2. Your wallet
Money in your Billsline wallet is held for paying for services, bills and marketplace orders. Wallet balances are not a bank deposit and do not earn interest. We may ask you to verify your identity before large payments, withdrawals or marketplace selling, in line with anti-fraud law.
3. Payments, bills and lending
When you authorise a payment with your PIN, we treat that as your instruction. Failed payments are reversed automatically — see the refunds page. Any lending or credit product shows its full cost before you accept, and you can always see what you owe in the app.
4. Buying on the marketplace
Pay only inside Billsline. Orders paid outside the app are not protected. When you buy, your payment is held until the order is fulfilled under our customer protection rules. You can report any item, order or seller to our market team directly from the order or item page.
5. Selling on the marketplace
You may only list items you are allowed to sell, that are legal in Nigeria, and that match their description. Prohibited items include weapons, drugs, wildlife, stolen goods, counterfeit items and adult content. We may remove listings, hold payouts, or close seller accounts that break these rules.
6. Prohibited use
Do not use Billsline for fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, scams, harassment, or to circumvent sanctions. Do not share another person's data without their permission. Breaking this section can mean freezing your balance where the law requires and closing your account.
7. Closing your account
You can ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time from the app or, if you cannot sign in, through our public data request form. We keep the records the law requires us to keep and delete the rest — see the privacy policy for timeframes.
8. Changes and the law
We may update these terms as the service grows; we will tell you about significant changes in the app before they take effect. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes fall under Nigerian courts.
